The EU has already stated that it would be against the law, and a player taking it before the EU-court would "most likely" win the case... So basically some top-club is going to pay for a player for taking the case, or perhaps the G-whatever number it is now...

The G14 has been disbanded.

I suspect what might happen will be something analagous to what now happens with Kolpac players in cricket. In that there is a restriction in place but people from the EU and certain other countries have to be seen as equivalent to native and therefore get past it.

Which would make the whole thing a long winded way of re-introducing the non-EU players limit (which I think is still in place in Italy and Spain?).

there was a interview on sky news today about it and yes while people have said it may be a good idear the FAs involved have only agreed to look at it,but many ex pros and ex chief of fa said it could simply not work.saying that the big clubs in europe will not sign off on it.ive also heard the 1 reporter mention the breakaway league again if this dose stand a chance of goin through..

for instance liverpool vs arsenal in the cl had only 2 english player in the startin 11,for both teams and they were ares in carra and stevie....if you go back to the 3 forigner rule during that time english clubs didnt do anythink special in europe but after it went and after some time english football has once again become a dominate force in football and it feels like certain people dont like that....

back a few years ago when real and barca dominated european football both teams were full of forigen stars but nothing was made of it then but as soon as the english contest the semi finals of both european comps with atleast 5/6 english teams and england fail to qualify for the euros then its brought up as if footie in england was **** and dieing...maybe not qualifying for the euros was down to putting a joke incharge of the national team cause the english FA are a bunch of old farts who no **** all about the moden game....



tbh i dont care what nationallity,color of skin or who they support aslong as when the pull on the famous red shirt and walk onto the pitch at Anfield they give there all and play there heart out
