Beckham's given the ball away far too easily and often. But he has delivered some of the better foward balls that half. If England were playing with real strikers, he would probably have had a couple of assists by now.

I think that's the worst performance I've ever seen from Gerrard. I suppose he's not arsed, it's hardly an important game. I was looking forward to watching Barry and Gerrard in the midfield, but the opposition were so poor it's hardly a decent indicator of how good our future central midfield might be. I thought Barry played quite well. Bentley was a definite improvement over Beckham. Ashley Young was just terrible, I'm **** and I could play better than that!
