Turkey's 2nd goal was (in my opinion) a gift. I don't mind admitting that I think that Cech is the best keeper in the world but I think that he was paid off for that mistake. Now, the Turkey keeper's been sent off, this whole game's a farce!!

It was a gift, but I very much doubt that he "was paid off for that mistake". It was just that, a mistake, Cech's made them before and will again. And it wasn't a farce imo, it was simply superb drama.

Oh, I don't think he's the best in the world either. One of the best, but not categorically the best by any means.

        What a ridiculous statement

He made a mistake, he is a good keeper but he made a mistake. Turkey were by far the better team in the 2nd half and they never gave up. They put him under pressure and he ****ed up. Happens. Thats football. Thoroughly enjoyable

not the first time this season Cech has dropped an easy ball, maybe that injury (as well as being injured a lot this season) has ****ed his game up?

I know, but the pundits seem to think so! 3 or 4 times in the last season he's made a bad mistake, and the pundits have said it's a one off, totally out of character etc etc. He's undoubtedly still a top keeper, but I have a feeling if he were English or playing for us he'd have got slated or they'd have shown other mistakes he's made
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Oh you can guarantee that he'd be called a 'Calamity' keeper by now if he was English.

He is quality keeper but he never made mistakes like this in his early days at Chelsea. I def think the head injury messed him up

I was thinking that. During the game they twice said the best keeper in the world like that was just fact.

Which was especially odd considering Buffon's extraordinary penalty save the other day - which you would think might remind them there are other great keepers around.

if you think about it, you cant really name that many top class keepers..

Buffon is probably first, followed by Casillas and then Reina, Cech and Van der Sar.

Other than that, i cant think of many world class keepers.. other than that lad from Fiorentina, Seb' Frey..who is still young

That dropped catch was in now way on purpose.. If you think about it, it had been raining so the ball was already slippy and it was bending away from him.. but that happens

Then Nihats goal to finish it off.. what a finish

I didnt think Frey was that young still. Havent seen Buffon play much over the past 2yrs or so, is he still top drawer? I would add maybe Labont and Julio Cesar to that list as well.
