Could Everton get lucky with Moutinho?
I'd like to wish Everton good luck in their pursuit of Joao Moutinho, the Sporting Lisbon midfielder who is being descibed as the new ‘Deco’; only 21, and just 1.70 m tall, he has bags of talent. He can play behind the strikers or in the centre of midfield; he is never scared of a physical battle and he can hold the ball like a Brazilian wizard. He has great vision, a good engine, consistency and a powerful shot. Everton contacted him a while ago but, following some excellent performances in the European Championships, he has also been approached by Bayern Munich and Barcelona. As I say, good luck to Everton because they are after a gem. David Moyes feels confident that Everton have a good chance of getting him, but I wonder if the player is holding out to hear from other clubs as well.

"Shame, he is a good player but I doubt we will get him now after his good recent performances. We need to look elsewhere now.
Like Steve Sidwell, he's just as good and would be cheaper too"
