    Turkey troubles

Just speaking to my Turkish flatmate and he says that against Germany they will be fielding a striker in defence and their third choice keeper in midfield with no other keepers on the bench. He also claims that if by some miracle they get through with the bookings they have it would be extremely difficult for them to field 11 players at all.

    Nuts!

They have 3 key players suspended and 9 injured

They have no chance. Nihat, Sanli, Turan amongst those that are out

They will have a goalkeeper on the bench who will probably come on to play outfield late in the game. Probably just 3 subs rather than 11

It's a shame that in a situation such as this they can't draft players in.

And it's also a shame that you can't appeal bookings that add up to suspensions.

To be fair, nearly all of Turkey's bookings were justified. They know how to get stuck in and rough teams up

They have nothing to lose - expect a shock v Germany.

as much as i have sympathy for them the 3 players suspended will be the key for them

a viable solution could be for them to draft in players but they have to be subs
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

Fair enough but I still think it's a ****ty system when you can could end up missing semis and finals due to mistakes from referees without the opportunity to appeal.

Your kidding right? All their good players are out of the game. They have no chance. Germany will comfortably beat them

Stranger things have happened. Unlikely I agree, but I will not write them off yet.

No more so than any other side. The most stupid was the red to their keeper.

It will probably be the greatest David Vs Goliath if they pull this off. I would say this is almsot impossible for them!

Yeah but can write Germany off either? They know how to pay a tournament.
