    Oh he definitely has mate. He hasn't handed in a transfer request, obv, but he's on record as saying he wants to go.

      I think Blatter could say that if Ronaldo (or anyone) had handed in a formal transfer request (ok the slave part is an over exageration). But as he hasn't, he can't be that desperate to leave so is hardly being held there against his will.
      The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

        His statement could only strengthen the richer clubs. Allowing players greater freedom to move from club to club can only result in higher wages and players demanding to play champions league football. Let him push this barrow and see who suffers.
