When you look at the reality of the situation, the tribunal have reflected what they think the player is worth today. For a 16 year old, in real terms, it's a lot of money. We (Spurs) might get our fingers burnt on this one.

I feel for Palace on the other hand in that there appears to be no sell on clause, appearance bonus' of any other monetary incentives to sell.

Also, the way Bostock left has soured his time at Palace too. He will never be welcome back there.
Anyway. I for one am more concerned with this season.
Heaven help us if you lot get Keane. When Ramos took over, I said he would sell Keane this summer. I feel that, good as Robbie is, there is another level above (Yes, Torres etc) and Ramos is aiming to go there with his signings.

But when the reality hits home....I don't want him to go!
But if he did, I'd rather he went to you lot than any of the other top four.

Mind you, I think Berbs would fit in better at Anfield than Old Trafford.

Berbs would link up brilliantly with Torres wheras I feel Torres and Keane may get in each others way a bit.

I may just spend the season here. Could be fun.

      Welcome.

I have always liked Robbie Keane and wish we had moved for him a few seasons ago. I don't think he would get in Torres' way at all. Think they would work very well together.

I don't see any reason for spurs fans to be worried. I mean after Martin Jol, Ramos can't do alot worse. You will become the 5th force in england very very soon and will become established as such. Long way off breaking into the elite but with the money your spending you will do well

I'm with you on this pal, I like the guy. He is outspoken but he doesn't give a ****.

I do feel sorry for him on this whole matter, something does need to be sorted out in the modern game where these youngsters should be made to stay at their respective clubs for a good few years.

I agree. It's a shame people like him are not higher up in the administration of football rather than the ****ing turdbrains that get the jobs.

I agree his views on football are forthright and straightforward, but then anyone with a modicum of common sense can come to these sensible viewpoints. Away from football he comes across as a first class cock.
Away from football he can be what he likes.

Why thanks V. It's always interesting to see how other supporters see your club.
Can't see us wrapping up the 5th spot that easily tho'.
I think we are just spending to stay ahead of Villa, Everton and the barcodes.
(Everton and the barcodes....Sounds like a 1950's West Indian cabaret act!)

Got to agree here. In these days of faceless foreigners coming in with their multi millions etc, Wouldn't you just love to have a character like Jordan who says what he thought and upset a few people. Love him or hate him, we need his type in football.

What with him and Warnock, (another geezer I love), I wish the opair of them were in the prem. Be a brighter place with them than without.

Trust me you guys will walk it into 5th most seasons from now on. This season might me a a period of adjustment for you squad but once its settled down you will be fine.

Villa's squad is too small and lacking at least 5 good players, Everton have been punching above their weight for a couple of seasons now and they will struggle this season. Newcastle will score goals but their defence will cost them far too many points.

Spurs have a good squad barring maybe clowns like Zakora and Robbo.
You have signed a quality keeper and have fixed your defence in my opinion. Hutton, Woodgate, King, Dawson and Bale should be a good foundation to build on.

Chelsea will probably win the league followed closely by Us, Mancs and Arsenal and then your Spurs in 5th

                        Welcome to est1892 mate.

What is the general Spurs fans' consensus of opinion about Berbatov - is he really 'lazy' or is that just an easy tag thrown at him because of his style of play?

When Jordan moans about something, he does it with an air of resignation that it's part of the game. When Warnock moans about something he honestly thinks he has a god given right to change the situation.

Eg, Jordan would moan that it's hard for little sides to cope because they don't have the resources to field a weakened team. But he understands the situation. Warnock just moans as if the rules should be changed and balance of power altered in his favour.

Haha, pointing out non-existent differences between Warnock and Jordan.

They're just excuses mate - they're both similar blokes....at least in terms of their forthright opinions and straight-talking.

I do think Jordan picks his targets better to be honest. He doesn't want favours from other teams in individual games or anything just a level playing field from the footballing authorities and credit for work put in which is much easier to accept.

As public characters though I agree with Shaggy I'm not a fan of either. Although Warnock seems less of a nob on the likes of TMS and everyone who meets Jordan seems to say he is surprisingly nice.
