It represents the Protestant flute bands associated with the Orange Order in Northern Ireland. Gazza did similar when he scored against Celtic for Rangers a few years back. Apparently, he was filling his car up at a garage a few weeks later and some Celtic fan told him never to do it again. He said he nearly sh1t himself so didn't!

Worse of it is it will give some people ammo to attack Northern Ireland FC over it. They have been working so hard to some the sectarian songs and flags at the NI matches and the last thing they need is him going on like this.

I think he wants a move to Rangers his boy hood club, it will make him an instant hero up there. Mind you with half the supporters coming from NI he would already be a massive hero if he signed.
I dont really see much of a difference between this and what Fowler done by sniffing the grass at the Everton fans. Stupid but I know all my friends who supports Rangers found it kind of funny.
