    Hehehe more trouble at United

Respect to Tevez hopefully he decided not to stay there as well

    Tevez: Let Ronaldo go

    24/ 7/2008

MANCHESTER United striker Carlos Tevez has broken ranks by claiming Cristiano Ronaldo should be allowed to join Real Madrid if he wishes.

Ronaldo has been the transfer story of the summer, with the Portugal winger expressing his desire to play for Real, who in turn have made him their number one target.

United have been furious with Real's public pursuit of the player, once again reiterating this week that they have no intention of selling their prize asset.

But Old Trafford team-mate Tevez has risked incurring the wrath of Sir Alex Ferguson by claiming the European champions should not stand in Ronaldo's way if he wants to leave.

"The United team has great players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, of course," Tevez said.

"It's clear that he is a very important player for us, but this is a personal decision, which is up to only him.

"I understand Cristiano. Every footballer wants to play at Real Madrid. On the other hand, I also think that everyone wants to play for Manchester United, but if what he seeks is something else, I think that should be respected.

"I have not talked to him, but when these things happen, neither side feels good."

Looks like Tevez will be getting a boot to the head a la Beckham, not that you'd be able to tell

Not too much for Fergie to jump on him for really.

Ronaldo departing = more opportunity/limelight for Tevez and others? Is this a sign that players not really arsed if Ronaldo's there or not?

I really doubt Fergie will see it that way, I seriously doubt he permitted the interview and definately not what he said. We seen how mad MON went when Berger came out saying Barry should join Liverpool and again when Barry made an interview he shouldnt have. Fergi has a long history of taking no crap when players speak out against is wishes.
The United fans I have been speaking to are outraged as well over this, just making my day better and better.

I also read briefly a bit of an article in a paper yesterday ref Rooney and the fact he has sacrificied his own glory for the sake of the team etc - ie saying that rooney does all the donkey work to allow ronaldo to look like the hero.

Fergie could interpret it as you describe, but i bet he doesn't. He's just spent the best part of the summer working on how to make Ronaldo stay, so although players like Tevez may feel they should take more of the 'limelight', i reckon Ferguscum would rather let the Portugee Bum Boy carry on taking centre stage, ( or maybe left of centre, but cutting in.).

Just seems a bit strange that its the Manc Evening News? Surely local politics would suggest Fergie knew about any such report or comments from Tevez if they were going to damage or embarrass Utd?

interesting way of looking at, esp with fergies comments the other day about looking at sorting out Rooney's role.

Hasn't Tevez future got to be decided by the end of the season?? Isn't he only at the Scum on loan until then?? Maybe he wants out too lol
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
