    Everton bid for Moutinho Rejected

Cant see him going to Everton being one of Portugal's most exciting prospects etc.

Good player, i first seen him Captaining the Portuguese under 18's a good few years back. Always had quality.

However, he is also over-rated. Getting far too much hype imo

Why the feck would he want to join Everton? that'd be like a backward step, he should continue his development at Sporting and a bigger better team then Everton will eventually come knocking.
      We come not to play.

if he was so good anyway then everton would have competition, it could just be another summer for them in which they encourage the sale of season tickets.

Remember Riquelme last year, I know they bid but surely they knew £11.8million would fail

It would not surprise me. I just don't think he will make a huge difference.

Posted: Tue Jul 29, 2008 5:55 pm Post subject: A person of interest on Lisbon flight BA503?

                    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We can exclusively reveal that a VIP has left Portugal's Lisbon Airport on BA503 at 18.25 destined for London's Heathrow airport. A connecting flight to Manchester numbered BD596 will arrive at 22.55.

The occupant will be met by private limosine with a destination of Liverpool in time for an early morning meeting with persons who could change his fortunes.

Whilst writing, Everton Football club are likely to have their £15m (€19m) bid for midfield playmaker Joao Moutinho accepted and, with his medical planned for 10.00 hours London time (11.00 CET), the Portugal international will be unveiled at a press conference at 16.00 GMT (17.00 CET) as Everton's first signing of the season.

At the same time, Unsetteled striker Andrew Johnson will be revealed as the new Fulham striker.

                    More as we get it.
