    Oh Maureen.

Best player is NOT Kaka or Messi, Mourinho says so.

    Tuesday 05 August 2008 - 14:17:17 -

Jose Mourinho is well known for making some cracking comments but on occasions he lets himself down and opens himself up to ridicule and he has started life off in Italy by making himself look a little bit foolish if not an outright joke.

Mourinho has stated that he feels that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a better footballer than either Kaka or Messi and that it is Ibrahimovic and not the South American stars that is the special one.

It is one thing to insult another manager, it is another thing to insult a team but to make such a foolhardy statement leads one to believe that the Portuguese “special one” is in need of some professional help involving a couch and lots of medication.

Mourinho made these comments while insulting his predecessor at Chelsea Claudio Ranieri, accusing him of being 70 years old and a winner of nothing, makes one wonder what Mourinho would have won if he had not been given in excess of a quarter of a billion euros to spend at Chelsea after inheriting all the best players that Chelsea had in his reign from Ranieri.

And of course we cannot forget his Champions League win with Porto at a time when the hierarchy at that club were paying everybody and their uncle back handers.

What next for the special one, will he buy John Terry for his penalty taking or maybe Didier Drogba for his fair play or will he just get bored and decide that one of his players is the greatest player that the world has ever seen.

It's Mourinho and therefore it's a circus, what else was to be expected.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Was thinking of looking, 'Gazzetta del a sport' maybe? As you say, no quotes, it doesn't let on as to who he said it to, it'll appear somewhere more respectable if he indeeed said it.

Found this nasty tirade from Maureen to......... er 'Old' Ranieri.

It does go on to say he said what's stated about Kaka & Messi.

Not a great source again..sorry, but apparently quotes from Inters TV Channel.

Mourinho To Ranieri: You Are Old And Fruitless

Inter coach, Jose Mourinho, has responded to Claudio Ranieri’s rant by blasting the former Chelsea Tinkerman with a number of insults.

Ranieri had mentioned Mourinho during his sour grapes press conference after Juventus lost 3-0 to Hamburg.

“I am not like Mourinho, I don’t have to win things to be sure of myself,” moaned Ranieri.

This has prompted a reaction from the ‘Special One’ who just couldn’t help himself from taking aim, and gunning the Old Lady coach down with some heavy words.

“I am in Italy to work hard rather than take part in a war of words,” Mourinho told Inter Channel.

“I want to do well with Inter and do the best possible for us and to forget about the work of others.

“Ranieri? I guess he’s right with what he said I am very demanding of myself and I have to win to be sure of things.

“This is why I have won so many trophies in my career. Ranieri on the other hand has the mentality of someone who doesn’t need to win. He is almost 70 years old.

“He has won a Supercup and another small trophy and he is too old to change his mentality.

“He’s old and he hasn’t won anything.”

The coach also spoke about Zlatan Ibrahimovic and he believes the Sweden star is better than Kaka and Lionel Messi.

“Seeing Ibrahimovic in training makes me understand how Special he is,” said the coach.

“Messi? Kaka? Ronaldinho? Ibrahimovic is the special one.”

Mourinho’s words are likely to cause some controversy.

The coach claimed he was not prepared to have a verbal fight with the rest only to eat his words and add petrol to the fire.

Sadly seeing Ibrahimovic in matches makes one realise why on balance Messi and Kaka are much better and Ronaldinho once was too.

While he is obviously a bit of a **** there is an element of truth to his criticism of Ranieri and the ****ishness is obviously part of what makes him such a good manager.

He is Zlatan's new manager so he is obviously trying to build up his confidence. I'm sure even Maureen doesn't really believe he is as good as the others, but he is the coach so what is he supposed to say? Yes he is a **** but this is hardly that bad.

I'd agree with that to be fair. He is just ever so slightly obnoxious at time sthough.

Well i thought his stressing on, and constant use of the word 'OLD' was particularly bad. He's a nasty piece of work he is.

I do get that he's talking his own player up though, with no fear of any ridicule that might come his way, no problem with how he handles his own players to get the best out of them.

But aye, the man is indeed a ****.

yup, you know me Dave, i just dont rate Zlatan in the slightest. The man has built a rather lucrative career out of 2 goals scored
