Not really anything like the same thing, one has just turned 28, the other is about to turn 31 this month, one has over the last couple of years being playing the best stuff of his life and the other has been on the way down.Originally posted by Shanks007 View Post
People on here would have the same reaction as to signing Robbie Keane.
I'll be delighted if this goes through and it means no Benzema, Aguero, Eto'o or whatever.

United don't need Henry as a fulcrum of their side. He'll be like a Henrik Larsson for them. Henry is miles better than Larsson, so he could even have a better impact. I'm sure he will if he ever comes because he knows the league inside out and won't need adaptation.Originally posted by Chris View PostNot really anything like the same thing, one has just turned 28, the other is about to turn 31 this month, one has over the last couple of years being playing the best stuff of his life and the other has been on the way down.

The injuries have taken an awful lot out of him. Besides, do you think he would move? No way. He would be loathed by Arsenal fans who love him as if he was god!Originally posted by fredo View PostUnited don't need Henry as a fulcrum of their side. He'll be like a Henrik Larsson for them. Keane to Liverpool could have the same effect as Henry to Barca.
We seemed to do ok for scoring goals last season without him and nobody knows how Keane will improve the team.
We have a better chance with him than we do without.
And how do you know at what age a player reaches his prime.
Teddy Sheringham?

I dont remember claiming I did? I can only go on facts and what I see and thats Henry is declining, I dont see how anyone can possibly deny that. Still a decent enough player but would it bother me if they signed him? Not in the slightest, theres plenty of world class strikers out there, he isn't one of them anymore so hopefully they go ahead and sign him.Originally posted by Shanks007 View Post

For 20 mill, he'll do the same job for them in the prem as Robbie Keane will do for us.

yup, the way utd play would see Henry shifted out wide left/right up top. It'd be same **** different teamOriginally posted by Chris View PostDunno really, I'd have neither in the team. Henry spent most of last season sulking when Barca put him out wide so I wouldnt want that here and I wouldnt start Barry in central mid here either. Whats Gareth Barry got to do with anything here anyway?

Can't see where they would play him, they have Rooney Tevez and Ronaldo already to accomodate, I'd be more worried if they signed a target man type forwardThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
