There was a HUGELY interesting website I found back in 2006 at the World Cup, which had all the facts and figures of how much money FIFA actually make, the endorsements, the tax-free money, the total hypocrisy, it was a figure quoted in the BILLIONS!! Unbelievable, unfortunately, the website was in German (seeing as the World Cup was in Germany), but after I had read it, I just couldn't believe the mafia-style corruption/moneygrabbing that was going on, beyond belief!

The figure is utter nonsense. As previously mentioned he didn't put this figure on himself so it's complete crap and what authority does FIFA have legally? None. They can bad him and that is it. Should FIFA be supporting players with problems (I'm not saying this is a problem per se) and surely players are insured by clubs.

Imagine Real buy Ronaldo and he turns out to be a coke head. Nobody in the world takes a 70+m gamble.

I could understand if Chelsea had kept him on and had to keep paying his wages while he was suspended that they might have been able to sue to claim back wages while he couldn't play, but that's about it. Transfer fee is unrelated to the player
