I think they have to change the management structure. One of Comolli and Ramos have to leave. I would get rid of the former who has failed to link well with both Ramos and Jol and currently doesn't even seem to be identifying good unknown players just going for people who we all know about.

Is he doing his best though? He's resting Ledley King in the League for early round Uefa Cup and League Cup games which is just astonishing. I dont think theres zero chance either, they've been ****e in the league since he's been there. I think they'll survive but theyve got to get a move on, theres already a little gap there, another couple of defeats and that gap could suddenly become big.

anyone heard these spurs jokes before:

Was chatting to a spurs mate yesterday who reckons they should sack ramos if they are in relegation places come xmas. I can see the logic behind that as usually a new manager comes in and for a brief period the team performs better and picks up points, however they usually slump to new lows not long thereafter.

I think that no matter where they are in the league come xmas they should stick with Ramos, my reasoning is that by then they will have had a number of months to gel and maybe are about due to come good, upheavel and change of staff in jan would **** that up and they would be dead certs for relegation then.

I came o here because, and you can quote me if you likeI thought this would be a bit of a special season for Liverpool and I still think I'm right.
What I didn't see, however, was this scenario at the Lane.
I knew we weren't ready to challenge the toip[ four.
That's always paper talk and other clubs fans but I didn't expect this.
I thought we might have a good start and then drop off, our usual MO!

As people were going on about the team we were building, I kept thinking...am I missing something here. There is no buzz as such and thought I must be out of touch.
Anyway...I gotta go.

I think the fact that Lennon is a not a hard worker and makes unintelligent and Bale is a left back who I've never seen look convincing in attack or defense at PL level make that a pretty poor selection. The cause of Spurs problems seem to me to stem from central midfield and defense at the minute any way. With no possession to feed on the flaws in the games of Bentley, Lennon and even Modric have been cruelly exposed. If they were in front of even a semi-solid defensive unit and a decent ball winning midfielder I think they would come good.

The point Chris makes about King is valid, however if I'm honest I think they should be looking to create a solid defense without king as he is never going to be able to play game in game out. They have some very good players there but have failed to make even a single pair of players look like a good combination anywhere on the park. I think that is a strong criticism of a manger who didn't arrive just in the Summer and had a full preseason with his squad.

Ramos happy after Levy meeting
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is "very happy" with the situation at White Hart Lane, according to under-fire boss Juande Ramos.

Ramos, whose side have slumped to the bottom of the Premier League after going seven matches without a win, revealed he met the chairman on Thursday.

"It was very nice, very happy. He's very happy," said Ramos, rated by the bookmakers as favourite to become the next top-flight manager to lose his job.

He said: "We know the problem and we are speaking about looking for the solution but the meeting was nice."

If the Spurs slump continues it could force the club into the transfer market during the January window.

But Ramos said his side cannot afford to wait that long to improve the situation.

"The problem has to stop on Sunday, not January," said the manager, whose side visit promoted Stoke.

Ramos knows it will be a far from easy task for a side whose confidence appears to have been undermined by a string of bad results, culminating in the 1-0 home defeat by Hull - another of last season's promoted teams - at White Hart Lane a fortnight ago.

But he will be backing his side to win the traditional Spurs way, by playing football rather than trying to match their robust opponents physically.

"To win matches you need to play football. Fighting is difficult because they are a very strong team. I think we need to play," said Ramos, who is refusing to buy into the philosophy that Spurs are too good to go down.

"We have to show that we are worthy to stay up, but if we are not winning games it doesn't count for anything. We need to win matches.

"We are very good in defence, in midfield very good but we need to improve and score goals."

He is not, however, specifically putting the blame on misfiring and apparently ill-matched strikers Roman Pavlyuchenko and Darren Bent, who have left Spurs short of goals since the summer departures of Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane.

"To win or to lose, all the team have the responsibility," said Ramos, who likened Tottenham's problems to those of the stock market.

"Football is like the markets. It's possible that then the markets change and go up, and so do we," he added.
