It definitely would not be a like for like swap but he brings such battling qualities, cleverness off the ball and, I know this is the ultimate football cliché... a 'winning mentality' that I don't there would be an issue fitting him somewhere into the current system. We've also seen a plan B this season, so maybe even having a plan C that would have Alli playing as a second striker could work for some games.

Agreed, Son could be interchanged with any of our front 3 seamlessly.

This. Son is the without doubt the player that suits us most

And Son. Levy would be reluctant to sell but the new stadium costs might be a factor if Utd offer big money.
        Another MASSIVE game

Hmmm, actually the more I think about it, the more I think Son could genuinely be on Klopp's radar. A 'no-brainer' as he would say. Seems a good a character too.

I rate Alli really highly but he would come with some baggage. Seems to attract a bit of controversy which is probably not what we want in our camp atm.

Didn't realise 'Sonaldo' was 6ft tall.

Also, he just turned 26 so bang on the age we like to sign players at.

Transfer likeliness: 2 stars (out of 5)

With the wages they pay, Spurs could be easy pickings if they lose Poch

Tottenham only ever sell to UTD. So no point trying. They're the official feeder club.

                      Goals aged 22:
                      Rooney - 94
                      Cristiano Ronaldo - 97
                      Owen - 111
                      Lukaku - 119
                      Aguero - 124
                      Messi - 127
                      Raul - 145
                      Proper Ronaldo - 194!

So seriously impressive numbers for Ali considering he's not even an out and out forward. Weirdly I still don't really know what type of player he is, and I'm not sure I'd want to sign him.

same for me but still blame Rodgers we didn't sign him - Aouar on the other hand....now there's a lad worth signing

I'm not even sure I rate Kane that much to be honest either. Still have no idea how he scores so many goals.

It's impressive but the Gerrard and Lampard comparisons are a bit unfair as they scored those 75 while playing in PL. About a third of Alli's goals came at MK Dons in league 1
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Alli is out with a hamstring problem but their team still looks strong with Kane, Son, Moura and Eriksen playing today.

Spurs are losing Son to the Asian Cup for three weeks. He's contributed to 30% or so to their goals and assists over the Christmas period. A huge blow I reckon.
