we will see. I have faith in the utter ****eness of the chasing pack and I really believe that when the spurs signings settle down they will rip some of the lower prem teams apart. Its not the top 4 they have to beat, its the others and to get 5th they can afford to lose 10+games. There is a long long way to go and Ramos is a quality manager who will hget it right. Once the berbatov situation is sorted they will come on leaps and bounds.

It depends who they sign before the window closes and how long it takes to solve their current problems outOriginally posted by JohnDoe View PostThey'll come nowhere near 5th.
They're ****tier than I thought.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Spurs fans are thick and seem to think they are a big club. Do they not learn after ailing year after year? Everytime they develop a good player he decides to move to a big club.Originally posted by Craig_H View Posthttp://www.glory-glory.co.uk/forums/...howThread.aspx
Is there a more delusional group of fans in the country?
It's 8 pages long, but nothing much happens on the first page. Read pages 2-8 though, it's comedy gold.

To be fair, look at that thread title.Originally posted by magicalbarnes View PostSpurs fans are thick and seem to think they are a big club. Do they not learn after ailing year after year? Everytime they develop a good player he decides to move to a big club.
"The battle for 5th and 6th" doesnt suggest delusions of grandeur...
I also seem to remember most people tipped them to break into the top 4 last year.

Its an unwritten rule in football that Spurs will never win anything significant. All of their best players eventually see the light and transfer to a big club.Originally posted by Sisterstiffticket View PostUs or Man Citeh?
Which is the funniest? I know Citeh have a catalogue of disasters behind and ahead of them but surely our transfer movement is worthy of being in even their dubious company.
1 year ago, Spurs had up front,
ROBBIE KEANE
DIMITAR BERBATOV
JERMAINE DEFOE
DARREN BENT
We have only one of those available to play now....yes ladies and gentlemen...Mr Darren Bent!
What price would we have got on that!
Personally, and I know many of you will think...'so what you sad token cockney loser' but I still reckon Ramos will be given time and build a great side at Tottenham. This is a bad situation but the management aren't stupid and know what deals to make.
Hang on....what was I saying?...
ROBBIE KEANE - GONE
DIMITAR BERBATOV - GOING
JERMAINE DEFOE - GONE
DARREN BENT - OH BUGGAR!
For some obscure reason their fans seem believe the propaganda that they are a big club, they need to take a serious reality check. I really do have sympathy for their deluded fans.

If you read the thread the suggestions is that we will be fighting with the bitters and pompey for 5th or 6th.Originally posted by Matt View PostTo be fair, look at that thread title.

I actually quite enjoy it to be honest, If we finished mid-table every year the best we could hope for was delusional dreams and nonsense transfers that never come off
6 points ahead after 2 games (giggle)

Not having a go at them, just saying there's a good bunch of them living on another planet.Originally posted by Matt View PostDon't need to now, I get the gist of what was going on.
They're all entitled to their opinion, bit unfair to have a go at Spurs fans in general just because of something thats been written on a forum.
For example:
I don't see why we can't finish 4th.
We have a better team then Liverpool on paper definantly, it's all about performances now though. They always seem to have a blinding start to the season before losing to someone like Wigan or someone. I think if we have a start we could easily beat Liverpool to 4th. The thing is we have Chelsea 3rdWell I think Reina and Gomes are equal they have there fair share of great moments and a fair share of howlers. Reina's against United and Everton stick in my mind the most, two massive games for Liverpool. Hopefully Gomes doesnt do any against Arsenal as such.
I think Hutton is better then Finnan or that Arbeloa character. I think King is better then Carragher, I believe Carragher is hyped up after that Champions League final game where I admit he played brilliantly, yet he couldnt get a game at Euro 2004, King did and looked brilliant against a World Class France side. Woodgate is better then Agger or whoever they have at centre back. Bale is better then Dessena who is there newest left back, never heard of him but sounds ****
I think Bentley is better then Pennant at right midfield or whoever else they play there Benayoun ain't it?. Gerrard is better then Jenas. Modric is better then Alonso. I dont know, I just don't rate Alonso. He has brilliant passing ability but that's about it. Modric also has great passing ability and offers more to the team then I think Alonso would. dos Santos, never seen him in Premierleague but I thought he was class whenever he come on for Barcelona. Babel well, don't impress me, he has pace but no end product at all, reminds me of Lennon to be honest, give him the ball and let him run.
Torres is class but then so is Berbatov. Both different type of strikers. Berbatov has everything I would want in a striker, so has Torres. It's a tough one but based on Premierleague goals i'll go with Torres just because it was his first season in the Premierleague and he was simply stunning. Keane is better then Bent aswell, he adds alot to the team but if Liverpool are going to ruin him by playing him on the wing it's there loss.I think people are over-rating Liverpool. Our back 5 is in no way laughably inferior to theirs. The case can be made that goalkeepers are even, but in defence I believe we are better. Dawson is the question mark but if Ramos has faith in him I'm sure he will perform well if Ramos has the players suited to his system all over the park.
I'd say our flank options are better, but Gerrard is better than any of our midfielders. He alone isn't going to make them a better team than us though, because he simply isn't Superman like people make him out to be. He's great, but we are not laughably behind with the likes of Jenas and Modric compared to Alonso either. I also think Zokora will fit like a glove into Ramos' system. Don't take that to mean I think he's comparable with Gerrard, just that his performances, like Dawson's, will improve when Ramos has players suited to his system right across the park.
Upfront, the case can be made that Berbatov and Torres both offer equal output in different ways, and I think Keane will suit Benitez while Bent will suit Ramos.
If we get our remaining targets, we can easily be on Liverpool's level.But they got a ****ty manager. We don't. They don't have wingers. We do.
Gomes = Reina
Hutton = Carragher
Woody > Skrtel
King > Agger
Bale = Arbeloa(?)
Bentley > Kuyt/Keane
Jenas < Masherano
Modric < Gerrard
Arshavin (
) > Alonso
GdS > Babel
Torres >>>>>>>>>>> Everyone
If Torres gets injured, Liverpool is royally ****ed.
