I always felt that the Spurs board acted pretty terribly towards Jol - both before he left with the courting of Ramos and after when the sports sections here in London were full of talk of how Jol's fitness regime was rubbish and Ramos was revolutionising everything. The fact they tried to drag his reputation through the mud was so low.

I also think the decision to sack him when they did was ludicrous - they basically engineered an environment where Jol was bound to fail and then Ramos had to come in without a preseason and without the make up of players he wanted. I also love their strict adherence to the policy of never buying a defensive midfielder. Even if the manager wants one.
