Enough of this myth that Tottenham have a good side on paper.
They do not have many good players. Most of them are ****, and they've got some glamorous names who are incredibly overrated.
They've got a decent keeper, I'll give them that.
Hutton is just about decent, and Corluka is their most reliable defender. Bale is not good enough defensively to be starting at left back at the moment.
Woodgate and King are crocked, **** and living off their reputation. It's a joke Spurs fans compare King with Sol Campbell, no where near. He was good about 4 years ago. Woodgate massively improved Boro's defence once he... left.
Assou-Ekotto-****tu and Michael Dawesome are championship standard.
Jermaine Penis has to be the worst player in the universe. Even when he scores a goal, the aura of ****iness that surrounds him does not fade. Have you ever watched a game and thought "Hmm... Jermaine Jenas would have been useful in this situation". Tom Weighs20stone can barely walk, let alone run, Zokora is their Diao and Jamie O'Hara is Sunderland bound, definitely.
That's probably one of the worst central midfield quartet in the league.
And then there's David Beckham. Oh, I'm sorry, I meant David Bentley. His overratedness is only exceeded by his obnoxiousness. And he has **** hair too
Aaron Lennon used to have talent but he's ruined now. He's become a proper Tottenham player. No end product and no bottle.
Then there's GvB, another overrated player which fits Tottenham like a glove. The kid will be playing for a mid-table Spanish side within two years, put your house on it.
And then there's the "amazing" strike force of Bent and Pavlyuchenko. They're never going to play well together, both of them are target men with different styles. Modric, the only player I'd be tempted to sign for Liverpool, needs to play behind one of them. Even then, there are better strike forces around.
