Personally, I'm a little choked. Old fashioned, I know. But the last thing we want is another ground that looks just like any other. But then...that's progress.

They'll be happy and confident playing us, which means we'll **** them back to reality.

Hopefully, we will at least give you a game now. That wouldn't have happened a couple of weeks ago.

what sort of attendances do spurs regularily get. you think they could sustain a 60,000 seater ??"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

The thing is that a 60,000 seater venue in London could make money from all sorts of external activities to football and they will be hoping that the corporate business will come which will vastly improve the revenue. If they can get the land and afford the debt at this time it will be a real money spinner long term I think even if they don't sell out each game.Originally posted by bobbyfallon View Postwhat sort of attendances do spurs regularily get. you think they could sustain a 60,000 seater ??
Although unlike Arsenal I guess they will not be getting the council to pay for the tube 'improvements' and won't be able to get as much for flats built on the old site etc."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

always forget about the extra revenue that can be brought in if its set up properly as a venue as you sayOriginally posted by dww View PostThe thing is that a 60,000 seater venue in London could make money from all sorts of external activities to football and they will be hoping that the corporate business will come which will vastly improve the revenue. I personally don't doubt we could fill 60,000 every game. Especially if we start seeing a glimpse of success.
Last season, nothing to play for, we took 6,000 all the way up to Middlesboro in the middle of November.
We really do have fantastic support, more than people realise.
We already have, as the club says, over 70,000 members. That's people who have gone to the trouble to pay and sign up for membership. No ticket guarantees. 22,000 on the waiting list for season tickets.
60,000 no problem. Until we start winning things!"I am a constant source of entertainment to myself"

Spurs got lucky last night, make no mistake. On another day it could have been an absolute hammering. Walcott and Adebayor wasted very good positions and could have put the game well out of reach.
I think Spurs just need a season or 2 with genuine continuity on and off the pitch. If they do that they might just get back to the position they were in when Levy inexplicably got rid of Martin Jol.
Until then they will survive and get the odd good result like last night. I fully expect us to go there on Saturday and win very comfortably in the end."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley
