You've obviously never heard Dave Whelan's 'Uncle Albert' impression then.

I'm obviously missing something. He broke his leg, his career went downhill and he is pointing out the risk that it can happen to any player. No doubt a is coming my way very soon.

I don't think he moved to Madrid for £81m before his career ending injury though. But I get your point as well.

I think the joke is that Whelan manages to shoehorn his broken leg into every single conversation he has.

Probably the same way you think Bale is average. There's one thing sticking to your guns... and other thing just ignoring the blatantly obvious for the sake of not changing your opinion.

I don't know what fantasy barometer are you using to come to this complete and utter delusion. The results and standings are there for all to see for the last 4 years, they have clearly been the better side for the last 4 years and they deserve credit for that.

Will they be a bette side than us this season.. i hope not, but sure we'll see come the end of the campaign.
Bale is a good player but he's overrated. He's not worth £350m. But he's very important for Spurs.

As for Spurs, yes they're better than us at this point in time, but the gap is not very big. Was it 12 points difference last year? Think we're much closer than that. And if they lose Bale and we lose Suarez, I think our fortunes would take a different turn. I think we can cope to an extent to losing Suarez, but I don't think Spurs would cope with losing Bale.
              Are we winning?

I can only say a begrudgingly fair play to Spurs.Them and Arsenal are better than us right now and sure it's up to us to change that.

As for Bale, he is clearly a brilliant footballer. The £100 million figure is a joke alright but sure football has become a bit disgusting & farcical like that. Bale will make Real Madrid a better side... that in itself says alot about how good he is. Credit where credit is due.

                          Exactly.

Is that of any help now Kenneth?

Spurs have had a very good squad for the last three to four years. However I don't think they have translated their squad strength to anything tangible during that time. They should have atleast won a cup and reached the finals of a couple of others.

Spurs have had it easy with us going into a rut. However once we get our act together which i think we will starting this season, it is going to start getting difficult for them to maintain status quo unless they start winning or challenging for something tangible.
