Huh? How can you mistake an ankle sprain for a cracked tibia and fibula?

Spurs = Team full of squad players and no real match winners. Plus their defence is sooo ****.

            What a waste of £90m

              Lamela will be a match-winner.

              Strong centre mid.

Vertonghen is class - remains to be seen how good the new Romanian CB is. But weak in both full back areas and need another top striker.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

The wank fest last season over Walker at right back for them was unbelievable, good pace but very average as a defender.

I think they've done well in terms of getting good players through the door but it's going to take them some time to gel as a side and hopefully we can stick some points between us and them in the meantime.

Johnson is a better defender than Walker every day of the week. Walker just has the insane pace to get himself out of trouble at times.

Kyle Walker has issued a grovelling apology after embarrassing the England team by inhaling the legal but potentially deadly 'hippy crack' drug through a balloon.

The Tottenham defender, in Kiev with the national team to prepare for Tuesday's crucial World Cup qualifier against Ukraine, woke to a photograph of himself in a Sunday newspaper sucking in the substance nitrous oxide on a recent night out in his native Sheffield.

In a statement issued to Sportsmail, Walker admitted he had let England down.

'I have now been made aware of the health risks associated with the practice and accept that my actions were of poor judgement,' said Walker in a statement issued by his employers at Tottenham.

'I hope this will in no way influence or encourage others into putting their own health at risk.'

Later on Sunday evening, Walker was on Twitter and added: 'Apologies for not commenting sooner on a story about me today. I've been training and am focused on Tuesday's game for England.'

While Walker's actions would appear to contravene the England player's charter that was drawn up only last October, the Football Associaton refused to condemn a player who performed a key role for Roy Hodgson's side in Friday's 4-0 win over Moldova at Wembley.

Even though the charter clearly states that players need to conduct themselves accordingly at all times - and not just when on international duty - the governing body refused to even comment.

This stance was taken even though users of nitrous oxide say the latest craze on the party circuit, the supply of which is illegal though the use is not, produces feelings of euphoria that have been likened to heroin or crack cocaine.

And medical experts warn it can lead to long-term health damage, including seizures, fits, strokes and even death.

After Prince Harry was photographed using the drug at a party three years ago, Stephen Ream, the director of a substance abuse charity Re-Solv, warned: 'Nitrous oxide is one of a number of substances that kill recreational users every year. It's important to realise that 'legal' does not mean 'safe' when it comes to substance misuse.'

The FA insist that Walker, who has seven caps and is expected to start against Ukraine, has not broken any laws or behaved in a way that affects his standing with the England team.

But in the charter it is made clear that the players are role models at all times.

It reads: 'Players representing England are ambassadors for their country and role models for younger players.

'The highest standards of conduct and behaviour are therefore expected at all times, including when players are not on international duty.'

The picture of Walker is believed to have been taken in June when injury forced him out of the England squad to face the Republic of Ireland at Wembley and the Brazil in the Maracana.

Walker has shown maturity and accountability by accepting his actions and issuing an apology following the image published by the Sunday Mirror.
