When they signed Soldado I think I was the only one on here saying how overrated he is and how he would struggle. Likewise the rest of their £100mil worth of average joes. They have a squad but no real match winners to take them to the next level. Waste of money

Eriksen is a good player, but I doubt he's that decisive. Coutihno is a better player than him. Eriksen lacks goals to his game. He could develop into a world class player, but there is probably a reason why we didn't go for him and that reason is not down to lack of funds.

AVB can be a pretty negative coach at times. He has signed quite a few attackers but they have been quite patchy this season. Will take time for them to click but we can emjoy it bearing in mind the sucking off spurs were getting off some of our fans on twitter after every signing

Yep, they're going to be in loads of snoozers, Lamela has been crap so far, Eriksen has been good in parts and disappeared when games got frantic, same as in Holland. If theres not a massive improvement in them two they'll struggle for goals. Soldado is useless unless chances are laid on a plate for him.

I thought Soldado and Negredo were at a similar level in Spain and if pushed I'd have said Soldado even though I didn't think either were great but Negrado has looked good so far.

Didn't see the game but its a good result for us! Townsend, Eriksen and Sigurdsson behind Defoe doesn't look too great even on paper. I rated and still do rate the majority of their signings but they've been lucky in some games this season, hopefully we can put some daylight between us and them while the players settle.

Delighted they got thumped today but it's a bit early to be crowing, they're only 3 behind us and have played two of the big 6 compared to our one.

Soldado is a good finisher but your other 10 have to be really good to carry someone who only scores goals. Like Defoe he doesn't contribute at all unless he's scoring.

Lamela I think will come good because he's got tons of ability, it's still very early and he's had some fitness problems since he signed.

I think their problem will be when the likes of Sigurdsson and Eriksen don't turn up. Both got plenty of ability and will be flat track bullies when they're on it, but they can disappear in tougher games.

Their big problems are full back I think. Naughton is ****e, Walker not much better. Rose in fact looks their best full back and that's not a great sign.

Good point - two 1-0 wins through Soldado penalties and an injury time winner at Cardiff. They will hammer a few teams sooner or later but I don't think there'll be much between us and them come May.

I've not watched them outside of MOTD this season but a lot of people have commented about how well Soldado does to bring Sigurdsson and Eriksen into the game. Interesting that when he didn't play the rest of the team seems to have been less effective given the impression that many people have (myself included) that Soldado is about as useful away from the box as Defoe.

What Spurs seem to be missing is some width - if they had a player with pace, who can beat his man and shoot they would be more dangerous.

Well Lennon has pace and can beat a man, but he's injured. And not great.
