Listened to his presser. They played it on Talksport. Durham who also writes in The Mail hates him too. Thought he made a tit out of Ashton to be honest. Ashton and Samuel made a whole article out of this 'the players should be ashamed' and talked about how it is everyone else's fault not his.

Then AVB says 'but I said 'we' should be ashamed...as in everyone, so your article and your personal attacks are wrong'. Ashton admitted he said 'we' but then still carried on like a **** saying he is entitled to his opinion

It is a personal vendetta agenda driven **** against him by some journos. And Allardyce is a **** for calling AVB immature too. I guess it's better to suck up to the press just so that they can help you keep a job

Now you see, I don't think Allardyce called him immature. I was just reading between the lines this morning, what Allardyce said was AVB's comments showed a bit of immaturity (and I took that as naivety). The media obviously turn that around to use Allardyce as a dense stick to further beat AVB.

I've done things under pressure that may have been immature or childish. Doesn't make me immature as a person overall.

I've not at all warmed to Villas Boas, but that is great.

He is completely spot on, and great to see him highlighting individual journos and taking them to task. To hear a journalist bleating 'I am entitled to my opinion' has to be one of the most pathetic things I've ever heard.

Not often I'll be caught saying anything positive about Spurs, but that was great. Such an obvious hatchet job.

Yep. I think AVB was spot on. He told him he was entitled to his opinion, but the whole crux of Ashton's and Samuel's hatchet jobs was wrong because AVB said 'we should be embarassed' and not 'they'. Ashton blatantly couldn't hack it after that. I think Ashton and Samuel are both Chelsea fans too so probably hate him from them days
