Poor old Frank De Boer practically begs Spurs to hire him and still can't get employed. Oh well, he'll just have to win another Eredivisie title waiting for Levy to sack Pochettino.

Let's see how he copes with the difference in expectation
Hes gone from a relatively small club with mid table ambitions to a a club where the expectation from the fans & London Press will be totally ridiculousWhat do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

A 5 year deal? and Tottenham's 10th manager since 2001............
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy said: "He has a proven ability to develop each player as an individual, whilst building great team spirit and a winning mentality."
Southampton chairman Ralph Krueger said: "We will be looking for a manager that shares our values, our principles and our philosophy; a manager who can continue to grow the first team."

Tor-Kristian Karlsen @karlsentk
My thoughts on Pochettino/Spurs coming up in a few tweets (sorry for hi-jacking timeline, I'll keep it brief!)Tor-Kristian Karlsen @karlsentk
Excellent appointment in my opinion: ticks many boxes for Spurs. Proved himself capable of improving individual players = key for THFC (1/5)Tor-Kristian Karlsen @karlsentk
As well as being more than happy to promote academy kids to the first team AND improving them at the same time (very impressive) (2/5)Tor-Kristian Karlsen @karlsentk
"Gets" the culture of English football, yet at the same time possesses the cultural understanding of successfully dealing with... (3/5)Tor-Kristian Karlsen @karlsentk
...players from a variety of footballing backgrounds (and cultures). This point not to be underestimated given the diverse Spurs squad (4/5)Tor-Kristian Karlsen @karlsentk
Tactically clever, impressive on the training ground, reads/"feels" the game well, experience as a def helps rectify Spurs def problems(5/5)Tor-Kristian Karlsen @karlsentk
And after 5-6 months with Pochettino in charge, one can finally pass judgement on last summer's signings... (1/2)Tor-Kristian Karlsen @karlsentk
And I think one will find that Lamela, Eriksen, Paulinho etc are capable of playing football after all... (2/2)Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Payoff on a 5 year contract is always helpful if that happens!
It's quite enticing actually if you go in knowing you are going to be paid a 5 year contract for a one year job.

Easy money i suppose but their reputations take a massive knock. Spurs have unrealistic expectations of being a top club but actually winning nothing. The club needs a long term plan and Pochettino could be the one to do that but AVB was supposed to be a long term plan and look how that ended.
Pochettino is a quality manager but I think Levy will wield the axe before the project gets off the ground.
Rodger's first season at Liverpool was really hit and miss but he was given time but if he' have been the spurs manager he'd have been sacked within the first year.
Spurs seem to have a new project every 24 months and long may that continue.
