Emmanuel Adebayor will pocket a total of £5.25million by the end of June next year earned from not playing for football clubs, if he does not join another side.

Spurs are still paying him £100,000-per-week, which will continue until the end of his contract there, which runs until June 30.

As part of the deal which took him to the club in 2012, Manchester City also agreed to remunerate him for the £75,000-per-week wage cut he took, which the club claim they paid him a final settlement for last year.

Didn't deserve to win. Watford were looking the better side with 10 men, were a centimetre away from getting the winner themselves, then Spurs go down the other end and score a pretty poor goal. Gomez punched the ball clear and instead of getting straight back up, sat on his ass for a few seconds and then wasn't in position when the ball came back in.

Very frustrating.
