They'll never have a better chance that's for sure, just gutted we have a muppet in goal who's cost us 15 points and Sturridge couldn't stay fit either or we'd be right up there ourselves. Hopefully the league stays this close/poor next season when we should have our act together.

Everytime we've had a good go at winning it some team has gone on an unbelievable run to deny us, no ****er is managing it this season when we are nowhere.

I'll be cheering on Arsenal or Leicester. I like Pochettino, but I've found their fans to be insufferable.

Also need to remember that they are one of the teams to break into the Champions League. Win it, and they solidify themselves as yet another club we have to compete against. With a strong core, a new stadium, and state of the art training ground, as well as being in London, offering Champions League football in all likelihood next season, if you add a league title in the mix, then that's the last thing we need. It's hard enough against Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, but Spurs would make things much harder.

Yep its not desirable in any way for them to win it but I think at this stage CL is nailed on for them unfortunately. I'm all for Leicester or City winning, City winning is neither here nor there, you expect them to be up there. Leicester would probably be relegated next season if they finish top 4 this season so nothing to worry about there!

Defo don't want Arsenal winning it though, their fans are absolute gob****es.

We'll just have to win it outselves. 11 game winning run to follow
          Football without Origi is nothing

I think they are even more likely to bottle it than Leicester.

Whats wrong with a 12 game winning run to follow?

They're a good side despite not investing heavily this season, which makes me think we should not have a revolution ourselves in the summer. Add a couple of players and allow Klopp to work with the ones already there and we'll be challenging next year.

Why do you always take the exception to be the rule?
                  3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Because I am the exception and I am generally always right.

Why do I have to agree with every claptrap that equates to noise in here? I think that it would benefit us to have a stable pre-season, with a couple of quality additions but with the squad remaining generally as it is as we have good players. Is that so leftfield that it causes eyebrows to be raised?

Don't think anyone would disagree with that Nodge. But that's not the usual tone of your sensationalist counterreaction posts is it?

Well I usually do this to provoke a debate or a reaction. It's sensationalist only if you take exception to it.

I'm inclined to agree. I think we need to sell players that we can genuinely improve upon or those getting on a bit.

Add some real quality (and speed) into midfield and defence and I see no reason not to think we can challenge the top four next season.

I'm with Fredo too. The last thing this squad needs is another summer of massive player turnover. Add some genuine quality in goal and up front if Sturridge is going to keep missing large chunks of seasons and we'll be right up there. Other areas need looking at too but those two are the main priorities.

As has been demonstrated elsewhere, Mig has cost us an amount of points that would have us in the the top two right now, even without Sturridge being fit.

Lash our money on some genuine top quality in both boxes and we'll be alright. Follow the same pattern in each window after that, only buying a few of the very best in the areas that are lacking. No more of this squad player rubbish. We have loads of them.

Yup, new keeper, centre back and perhaps a midfielder. I've said it before the squad isn't actually bad it just needs a few key positions sorted

Keeper is a must and Id like to see someone else coming in that can stay fit and create a partnership at the back with either Sakho or Lovren.

A combative midfielder would be nice as well

If you looked at yesterday's starting 11:

A new keeper instead of Mignolet
A new CB instead of Kolo (Matip maybe)
A new midfielder instead of Milner (move Hendo to his spot) - not Grujic as he should be a squad option.

3 top quality additions and the rest of them to be fit (ahem) and that is a strong 11 with pretty decent cover.
