Tottenham confirm Kane’s ankle injury, no time frame on his return.

Harry Kane has injured his ankle ligaments.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino confirmed the news on Tuesday as Kane, 23, went down injured late in Spurs’ 1-0 win against Sunderland on Sunday.

Speaking to reporters ahead of Tottenham’s League Cup clash against Gillingham on Wednesday, Pochettino had the following to say on Kane.

“He has injured his ankle ligaments,” Pochettin said. “We will continue to assess him every day but don’t want to put a timeframe on it.”

                  From the Guardian:

"...there are concerns that Kane has sustained grade two ligament damage, which would normally require six to eight weeks of rehabilitation. Should the second scan confirm as much then the striker would miss the Champions League group games against CSKA Moscow and Bayer Leverkusen – Spurs lost their opening match 2-1 against Monaco last week at Wembley – and, among the seven Premier League fixtures within the timescale, key contests against Manchester City, Leicester City and Arsenal. The north London derby is on 6 November, towards the end of the normal recovery period for the injury."

That will be tough for them, they could be out of the CL by the time he comes back.

Only three derbies coming up for them in the league then.

Defensively Spurs are pretty good, good back 5. But midfield is uninspiring and up front completely toothless. I can see Poch going full defensive in the league for a month, with or without Kane returning.

They'll probably get 5 point from that list of league games. City, Arsenal and us should be double digits ahead of them by then.

They should get a draw from Swansea. The'll probably need to keep a clean sheet though.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

they have a decent first 11, but there squad isnt upto much the players brought in such as sissoko, Janssen and ndoukou are not top 4 quality.
