Am I missing something with this Spurs love in? They are a undoubtedly a good team but we have the same league points and have scored more league goals and yet some are saying we are struggling?

Don't think it is a love it. It is just saying in the Spurs thread that they are a good team.


Speaking for myself I know I am not saying they are doing great and that we are struggling.

Would not mind a few of their players though. Would happily have Alderweireld, and Lloris in our back line (am ignoring obvious names like Kane) and would love to have Mousa Dembele as a midfield option/cover

such a well balanced squad they have. Class keeper, 2 solid CB's, busy wing backs, either Dier or Wanyama sitting in the midfield breaking things up, Eriksen playmaker and set pieces, Ali dangerous behind the front man & a clinical striker.

It's a lovely balanced side. Unfortunately for them every ****er is going to be after Kane & Ali next season. I reckon Eriksen and Alderwield will be hounded too.

They are a very well balanced team, but I would argue that there is very little between us and them atm in terms of quality despite their consistency in terms of team performances and our lack of it.


They tend to keep a very even keel in terms of performances whereas we have great highs and dour lows, so we tend to keep close to them almost despite ouselves, but I would argue that as a team they have less scope for genuine improvement compared to us.

They already have a strong back line, a balanced midfield and a good attack. It would be difficuklt for them to add players that would be big upgrades on what they have and also in terms of making that team more balanced.

Whereas we have areas that would improve greatly with a couple of additions and for me that would push us on ahead of Spurs.

Just need Klopp to get a few in to give us that quality and blance improvement. He has Keita on the way so another couple and we could end up being the team Spurs chase rather than us battling with them for a spot.
