If they finish outside the top 4, Pay Alderweireld's release clause and give him £200,000 a week
He's ****ing class, different in their defence without him is hilarious. Wanyama big loss for them too. I don't get the hype around Dier, bang average player IMO.
The build up they were getting was baffling in recent months. However, they are a really good side and that squad was assembled for a relative pittance.

I'm not sure there has been much hype about Dier really. He gets credit for being solid and tactically astute, which is rare for English players.

They have spent quite a lot though, And there squad should be better imo.
100m in defence alone. they did well last season due to the brilliance of Kane/Ali this season they haven;t been at there best and no-one else seems to be stepping up.

They made money this summer. They have a wage bill £80m/year less than us. I may phrased things incorrectly but they have assembled that squad very economically compared to the rest of the league.

they spent about 10million this summer, but your point still stands that compared to the top teams they have been careful on wages and not gone too crazy apart from the odd sissoko type **** up. (30million )

I was going by this which seems inline with other sources I remembered reading:
