His stock is high, a fifth place and things won't look as rosey and he may no longer be in contention, if he even is at the moment. Wouldn't need to be a significant drop to mean he doesn't get the chance again.

In terms of available resources even fifth is probably over achieving.

Probably won't finish 5th but that's not the point being made. Someone suggested the Real job will be open to him again soon because they sack managers all the time - as Kenneth says though, his stock is high now whereas all it might take is one mildly disappointing season to put him out of contentionOriginally posted by Norbs View PostWho says he'll not finish top 3 again?
Bearing in mind we usually finish below them, are we expecting to finish 6th?Like blood on iron

Exactly, he's using a predicament that hasn't happened to help his argument. Zidane won **** all before he took the job. Real and Barca are pioneers of trusting a strong playing squad approach over the quality of the manager.Originally posted by Norbs View PostWho says he'll not finish top 3 again?

Well, if we're talking about whether he stands a chance of getting the Real job beyond this summer then we're all talking about things that haven't happened yet.Originally posted by labourRed View PostExactly, he's using a predicament that hasn't happened to help his argument. Kenneth isn't saying he will or won't finish 5th, he's just trying to show that it's not as if the world is his ****ing oyster and he will definitely be getting this opportunity again soon. He'd be nuts to turn them down IMOLike blood on iron

He would be nuts to turn them down, mainly because Real have far more of a chance of winning their league than Spurs have of winning the Prem. And by that I mean it's not his fault in particular that Spurs aren't challenging, it's because they like us lack financial cloutLast edited by Norbs; 04-06-18, 07:42 PM.

Be shocked is Real appoint Potch giving he has won sweet fa, they aren't the kind of club to take on guys without a high profile or successful career behind them. Guti IMO makes more sense as fans loved him as a player and he's already at the club. It's a poison chalice though and a short term gig for any manager... horrible club. I won't be surprised in a few years if Raul doesn't get the job, hero there he is.
