We should have booked Wembley for the date of our game so they have to forfeit. Joke this new stadium

Looks like the story has orginated from Talksport and the S*n, so make of that what you will.

This is a good thread to follow if you're interested in the thing:

There is a PL rule though that you can't switch stadium mid season, so it'll be interesting to see how it pans out if they don't get it ready in time.

Moving ours and the Cardiff game. Confirmed.

Typical. Wanted to see us hammer them in their new place. Absolutely loathe Wembley

Proper screwing their fans over too. They are refunding 1/19th of every game not played at Wembly but as a part settlement on their next season ticket and they are charging them
Full price for a ticket at the Wembley games! They so should have made sure that season ticket holders got into Wembley as part of their season ticket. Even if it had have cost them money as they are the ones who have ****ed this royally.

If it's true that the stadium has cost approx. £1bn, how on earth are they recouping that?

They don't have a huge sponsorship deal like Arsenal did, do they?

Not buying any players is a start

£1bn and climbing with some chat it won’t open until 2019.

There must be some pretty creative accounting going on somewhere in financing this, from an original estimate of £400m.

                    Modifying post.

                      Not sure I follow.

Seems like a reasonable way of dealing with it to me.

It's not though if season ticket holders are paying a premium on top of additional travel

Paying for additional travel on their oyster card?

It doesn't include infrastructure costs such as stadium, etc I think
