Anfield is also a pleasure to visit now too, so I'd see no reason to be jealous of any other club/stadium.

That could obviously change in a few years, but for now I'm more than happy where we are.

Nah. I find most new stadiums feel a bit **** and soulless. Commercial venues.

Mostly I'd agree but I think they've done a great job. That single tier behind the goal is great. The stadium reminds me a bit of the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff - which is often claimed to produce the best atmosphere in the world (I think our fans set the decibel world record there IIRC).

It's also safe standing ready. The bars are already in place.

We'll see what it's like in practice soon enough. If Spurs fans are anything like their Arsenal neighbours, the atmosphere will more than likely be a bit quiet anyway.

I think it's ok, not bad to be fair, but I'm hoping that the best thing about it will be the massive overspend so that Levy keeps an even tighter hand on the purse strings.

Obviously it will start contributing revenue once open, but by the time those revenue streams have reached the required level with a bit of luck the damage to the squad etc will already have been done.

It's probably the best new stadium I've seen imo. I like how close the stands are to the pitch.

Looks like a fantastic stadium, but if I'm honest, I'm pleased we could stay at Anfield, it's a place full of history, I think that matters.

Have to agree but over time the other three stands will have to be rebuilt, sentiment is great but we also need to be careful of not getting left behind.

What i'd be more concerned is our capacity which is obviously tied closely to our revenue stream. While I appreciate it has fallen behind TV/media and commercial revenue it's still over the course of a decade or so a very significant contributor to income.

I'd be more happier if we increased capacity to 60+k although it'd be hard to top the ROI on 100m for 10k extra seats that we got from the main stand.

Back to Spurs, this stadium will eventually turn them into a bigger club simply by increasing gate receipts but they've been clever to weave a lot of commercial streams into the build as well. Their problem in the medium term is they'll also have to increase salaries and perhaps lose a few big players along the way and pay down a massive loan.
