Since the November International break, they have taken 33 points in the league. Only us with 35 points, have had more points in that period.

They're having a freak season with all those would be draws that they've scraped wins from.Originally posted by Fredo View PostSince the November International break, they have taken 33 points in the league. Only us with 35 points, have had more points in that period.
The amount of games they've struggled to create many chances yet scored every chance they have is unreal.
Any normal season they'd have about half a dozen draws by now and would be at least 15 points off the pace..

Much like United last year, their position massively flatters them. I would say that they will be found out soon enough (like United were this year), but they should improve once Kane and a few of the other injured players return, so will probably finish 3rd with a decent points total. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I don't believe this is a correct assumption.Originally posted by Pepe79 View PostThey're having a freak season with all those would be draws that they've scraped wins from.

They could be very efficient and score out of very few chances. They still are tremendously resourceful out of their playing squad out of the amount of injuries they've had over the season.Last edited by Fredo; 13-02-19, 09:55 PM.Are we winning?

It’s not an assumption, Fredo. Watch their games. They regularly struggle to create in games but very often end up scoring from a shot from outside the box or an individual mistake from a goalkeeper or defender.Originally posted by Fredo View PostI don't believe this is a correct assumption.

I heard a stat which backs this up. Over a recent 6 game winning run, they were scoring 3 goals a game more than their expected goals. That’s the equivalent to creating nothing all game, apart from taking 3 shots from outside the box and all 3 of them going in. For 6 games in a row.
That’s not sustainable, nor is it down to efficiency. It’s just luck..

I mean they're always around, even though no one acts like they are. It's like everyone's talking about us and City, even though Spurs are in the mix.
They've been consistently good, without doing much, and when you think the lack of transfers may hinder them, they're still near the top.
So yes, they're a turd that won't flush.
