15m a year is incredible. No wonder the job excites him. Surely that is performance related.
For me, I think Spurs tried to do things on the cheap - wages wise. When you have players like Eriksen, Vertonghen and Alderweirald who have not signed new contracts - and probably won't - then they should have cut their ties and sold them with 2 years remaining. When you have players like that who won't sign, then they won't be committed. One player like that in the team will impact things. They have 3 or 4.
It will be interesting to see how they play. I think Poch was popular there so Mourinho will have to win a lot of games to get the fans onside. His style of football probably won't excite them.
I suspect within 12 months it will go salty between Mourinho and Levy. In reality, the transfer shenanigans between him and Woodward were toxic. Levy will be more of a tightarse than Woodward.

As for Pochetino, it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
I think he seems to be a nice guy. He would be perfect for Manchester United. He plays attacking football, he is clever tactically and he is good at bringing through young players. I hope he picks up another gig before Ole gets the bullet.
It would be funny if he ended up at Arsenal in the next couple of months. Although, chances are his contract means he would sacrifice a lot of his payoff if he takes another job this season.

Bit of a weird one, Levy gave Poch a new contract to stave of interest from United. Then sacks him a year and a half later costing goodness knows what after having not backed him, and now pays his replacement handsomely more than all of their players who have sucked up comparatively poor wages for seasons.
Not perhaps Levy's finest work.
