Chances are he will up sticks on a free next summer so all they are doing is putting of the rebuild by another year and turning this season into a circus of "where will Harry go?".


Screws the new manager big time too. Means he is stuck with a guy who scores loads but he cannot build around him as he will most likely be off in a year.

City have Haaland and Alvarez and the red Mancs have just bought the Lidl Haaland.

Plus if either do decide they want Kane, they can get him for free next summer.

The mad thing is that those two entirely unproven players would probably cost way more than £100m combined.

Earlier in the window you would say the money they are looking at for someone in the last year of contract is a great deal, when you have time to get a replacement. But he's their best player, the later in the window it gets the harder he will be to replace. I don't see them being able to get a single player who is a like for like replacement in their position, so they would need to bring in a couple of players that improve the side overall, that's arguably even harder to do late in the window.

Very hard to get quality to replace Kane in a single player as he is one of the best in the world & late in the day for a few players unless they have targets lined up.

I've always seen him going to United at some stage.

United should have spent the money on him a couple years ago if they wanted him to be a proper difference maker for a number of seasons.


They get him next summer and he will most likely be a short term fix at best.


Kane has always struck me as a guy that loves being the big fish in a small pond though. Preferring, imo of course, to get all the praise at a club that wins nothing than to score the same high of goals at a successful club but having to share the credit with a team of equally good players.


If he wanted silverware he could have handed in a transfer request any time over the past five or six years.

If Kane goes to Bayern it will 100% be the second coming of the 'Rush to Juve' experience, where Kane gets there and hates it because they don't sell his favourite type of baked beans and he cant stand all this Bratwurst when all he is looking for is a Co-Op pork sausage.

German food is yummy. Just give him a colouring book and some crayons and he will think it is some sort of Happy Meal deal.

But yes if he went there and it turned into a fish out of water move then that would be comedy gold.

Him wanting UK food would not be a big problem though. When I lived in Germany a couple decades ago now, there were shops around Stuttgart that had Heinz baked beans, Kellogs Corn Flakes and what not for the ex pats that moved to Germany and needed to find an Irish bar to hang out in and the same food as what they got "back home".

Which I always thought was madness, similar to going to Spain or Portugal on holiday and only going to ex pat bars.

The worst thing ever for me on holiday is getting settle in and hearing a load English (or Scottish (potentially worse!!!)) accent. Of course you get the same idiots from the locals or different euro nationals but then ignorance is bliss.
