Ove the season I think they'll struggle for enough goals to push for the title, top 4 though I think they'll be pushing for.

They have the best XG in the league according to the Athletic.

Their defence is letting them down though.

      Oh I don't know.

Must admit i have been very impressed with Maddison, Always thought he was a bit of a MOTD player but he seems to have elevated his game.

I want to see there reaction after a couple of bad resuls but i do fancy them to be best of the rest with Villa.

If they get lucky with injuries they could threaten but think they will just fall short

I'm pissing myself over all the talk of Spurs being title challengers after 9 games playing seven of the ****test teams in the PL, getting a draw at Arsenal and beating us thanks to an own goal and the full ****wittery of the PGMOL.

If they're up there half way through the season then I'll take them seriously.

I think they're very good but they don't have a lot of cover so a couple of injuries will stuff them.

So heavily reliant on the brilliance of Son and Maddison.

Maddison was a steal for £40m too.

It's Spurs. Sooner or later things will go all Spursy for them.

Yeah they don't have enough goals in them to challenge. A few injuries and they will start to drop points. Looking through their squad it is significantly weaker than ours, City's and Arsenal's.

I know Leicester won it, but they won it when everyone else was way off form. Not quite the case this year.

That was another season during which Spurs were proclaimed title challengers
and that the league was a two horse race between Spurs and Leicester.

Spurs then managing to turn that two horse race into a third place finish and 11 points behind Leicester .

They have been good to watch. And if they have a manager that can build a team where you beat the teams that you should be beating 9 times out of 10, then they will challenge for top 4. Also, similar to when Leicester won the league, if they went out of both cups at the first hurdle and with no European footy, then you don't need a big squad. You just need luck with injuries.

                    But they have played:
Brentford, united, Bournemouth, Fulham, Burnley, Sheffield united, arsenal, Liverpool, Luton. They got lucky against arsenal (Jesus miss) and were ****in haunted against us (dodgiest referee performance in recent history and an onside goal ruled out). They've been good bit should still have at least 4 less points.

Between now and boxing day they have to play:
Palace away, Chelsea, Wolves away, Villa, City away, West ham, Newcastle, forest away, Everton, Brighton away. If they are still top by then, they can then dream of a title challenge. But i dont think they will

The media always have an early wank based on the first few games of the season.

Look at all the column inches dedicated to Brighton's Alan Shearer regen.

Not sure how true this is:

For some time Son had been considering his own options. If Spurs had not made the Champions League in 2022, when they dramatically pipped Arsenal to fourth place under Conte, then Son would likely have left. Liverpool were sniffing around and it is thought he was interested.

I think this makes me a bit petty, but I am glad Spurs lost v Chelsea after being on the wrong end of a couple of VAR decisions and being down to 9 men

Still hope they finish above Chelsea but this insane game, combined with the Newcastle winner vs Arsenal, makes me happy that the VAR **** is being felt by more clubs
