I’d initially been impressed with Big Flange, he was a tolerable winner when he was at Celtic and seemed like a breath of fresh air season 1 at Spurs.

Since then he’s turned into a massive bull****ter, that miserable exasperated whisper in interviews ‘mate’ with the subtext of, ‘I’m smarter than you’ has become tiring and then the inconsistencies in all of his moaning about pretty much everything. All of this whilst getting pumped pretty much every week and taking Spurs down to being a mid table team and getting zero heat for this.

A huge chunk of 'em are hyper masculine toxic ****s who live under the dillusion they're the salt of the earth despite the fact they give their missus a touch up after every loss and blur the lines of rape with teenage fans.

I'm not in any way saying he personally has comitted any of these heinous deeds, if I insinuated such it was very much unintentional. I just dont like the persona in general. I blame them for much of toxicity in society.

Hannah Clarke devestated the entire country and started a lot of conversations in homes, which greatly increased the visibility.

But 5 years on unfortunately nothing seems to ultimately be getting fixed, in fact its worse than ever.

The DV statistics in Australia are skewed. I'd say probably 90% of them are with our aboriginal brethren. Its non stop there. Being in the NT you see it everywhere and some gets in the papers if they're brave enough to risk not being PC.

No doubt it is toxic and deeply unhealthy, but unfortunately it is not something unique to Australia if we look at a lot of Western nations.

Just thinking about here in Ireland and how often violence against women committed by a Rugby player, GAA player, someone in the military or police got swept under the rug in the past or if it did get to court the victim would turn up in court with her family and her attacker would be having support from the local town, the parish priest etc all being showered upon him.


There is, imo of course, a disgusting regrowth in toxic masculinity levels in day to day life across the western world.

You might think its fine here but if you actually listen to females they very much feel dfifferently, being better than a developping nation is hardly much of an achievement. Working nights especially its a very different world for myself and my female colleagues.

Unless you're one of the problems then its not really anything to get defensive about, we need to man up and address the issue.

Very much so. It is a "man" created issue for the most part and it is one that men need to work hard to rectify.

And even if you as a man are not doing the bad stuff, I think there is an onus on you nowadays to lead by example when it comes to the right stuff.
