I don't really have any feelings about Spurs. What's the point?
    Really?

He must be off his head
Tottenham captain Son Heung-min says sacked manager Ange Postecoglou is a "legend" who has "changed the trajectory of this club".

Postecoglou, 59, was sacked on Friday just over two weeks after ending the club's 17-year wait for silverware with victory in the Europa League final.

Spurs finished 17th in the Premier League after losing 22 out of 38 matches.

"Gaffer. You've changed the trajectory of this club," Son posted on Instagram, external.

Yep, gone from top 4 contenders to the bottom 4. That's some turnaround.

I mean, I'm not saying he didn't deserve to get sacked but you should probably caveat the league position. They thought Europe was a chance of winning something which they did - which for Spurs is an achievement.

I didn't watch a lot of their games but the stuff I did watch was pretty awful though.

After a good start in his first 10 PL games, he got 78 points from the next 66 matches.

I know trophies are what it's all about, but a cup win doesn't paper over those cracks.

It's a difficult on to judge in my view of course you want to finish as high up in the table as you can, but winning things should be what football is about. It was Spurs first trophy in 17 years and only about their 3rd in a out 40 years.

League wise they have had a **** season there is no getting away from that it was as bad as it could be (I know people are saying they could have been relegated but given the bottom 3 that wasn't going to happen). The injuries mitigate things to a certain extent and he admitted that they took a conscious decision to prioritise the Europa League as they had a chance of winning it.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                        "Admitted". It's called an excuse.

Maybe they prioritised the semi and final, but their team selections didn't really bear that out. If you have to abandon your league season to draw with rangers away midweek then you're ****ing ****e. They went out of the cups in early february. I find 'well, he abandoned the league' and extraordinary defense, it's justification for sacking him in itself, they're supposed to be a 'big six' club, not Hodgson's Fulham.

Postecoglou is a fraud, his 'one way of playing' is stupid and if people didn't have a weird reverence for the straight talking Aussie shtick, he'd be nowhere near the PL.

It's not just the trophy though, they got in the CL which is pretty huge for them tbf.
                          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I thought they'd give him the start of next season to be honest. Their league position was a disgrace though in fairness, there's no way of getting around but then again he did win a European trophy & they are in the champs league. I can see it from both sides, I really did think they win saved his bacon but apparently not. I suppose from Levy's point of view, he gets a new man in to start fresh, needs a big rebuild anyways & they will get to play in the champs league anyways.

He finished the lowest you possibly can without being relegated. I cant imagine Levy wanted to roll the dice on a further drop.

Doesn't matter what he won when he finished 17th. They dont want to be relegated next year, that will put a reeal dampener on their CL appearance.

Yep that’s the same as Arteta claiming he prioritised the Champions League this season. But he only started saying this when he got to April and found himself in the CL semi finals, but still 9 points behind in the PL.
