There is always the concern though that a la Elano, he will get worked out and get kicked out of the game as the season goes on. I think he may just have the balls, unlike Elano, to stick it out though. He does have the feisty factor.

He would never have come to us though.

Never wanted him. He will not perform consistently.

£8m for a 31 yr old who had been completely ****e for the last 2 seasons and made absolutely no effort at all. Far far too risky. Give him a couple of months and he will go back to being lazy again

Always a gifted footballer, if a little dirty at times; the worrying thing is lack of application in Spain for the past two years but if he puts a shift in for Chelsea he'll do well for them

I do think we missed out by not getting this lad. He had a crap year or so at Barca, but that seemed to be for various off the field things. The lad made barca tick when they were at their pomp in 2006. Still a few years left in him
