    Bitters smash transfer record

Everton have signed Standard Liege midfielder Marouane Fellaini for a club record fee of £15m.

The 20-year-old, who has played 10 times for Belgium and represented his country at the Beijing Olympics, has signed a five-year deal.

Everton, who had already signed Louis Saha from Manchester United and Wigan's Carlo Nash, confirmed the fee may rise.

"We have signed one of Europe's most exciting prospects," said acting chief executive Robert Elstone.

Could become a really good player Fellaini, but £15M is a bit much.

Is this just a desperate attempt by the blue****e to get into the group stages by buying the oppositions players?

£15 Million?! For ****s sake, people were ****ting themselves because we spent £20 Million on a well known striker. Who the **** is this guy?

I remember watching Sky one day and one of the pundits was confident that Robbie Fowler would become the first £10 Million player in England. Everyone was shocked and told him to calm down a bit.

A lot of money and a pretty big gamble. Not very Everton like. Their squad is still **** though.

So people have a go at them when they cant buy any players but when they do they're too expensive.
Come on people, let them do what they want, who cares what they do or dont do anyway?
                  Too much talk of Everton.
We've enough problems at Liverpool FC as it is

Very good player, albeit going by the only 2 games I’ve seen him play but in those two games he played better than our whole midfield!

A very very good player IMO.

BUT, he had decent players around him at Liege, which will not be the case at the bitters.

I expect Moyes to have a gollum fit before the end of the season.
