Manchester United midfielder Anderson has been ruled out of Brazil's World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Bolivia with an undisclosed injury.

United already have injury problems in midfield with England internationals Owen Hargreaves and Michael Carrick and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo all out.

The Red Devils visit Liverpool after the break, but it is not known how long Anderson will be sidelined for.
