The difference is they aren't getting his money for the service.
    Oh I don't know.

Oh i know, that wasn't lost on me, it was just the way he described Sky and their methods..like he was finished with them for good, because he hated the way they do footie, Andy Gray etc, then went on to say..i watch it on a mates tv....class.

Unfortunately Sky have us by the short and curlys if we want to watch our teams play, i don't like it, i hate it actually, but would be lost without being able to watch LFC as often as is possible...streams are ok...but not the same, although i use them often, necessity again, the need to watch.
Well yes I see what you're saying! But what I meant was if it's an LFC game and is only on Sky and I have no choice but to watch it on Sky, at least I won't be paying them for the 'privilege'.

Oh and in our local pub they don't have Sky and shows the matches beamed in from abroad so neeeer!

Platini may have a point, aye. But what's infuriating is that he wasnt making the same points about Real & AC for years- just when it's English clubs.

I feel the rest is true tho- even DIC getting hold of us just changes the landscape again. Doesnt restore my faith. I feel the last truly magical thing we may witness as Reds is Istanbul. At least it went out with a hell of a bang I spose...
              3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Glad to say that being an old arse means that I saw the glory and knew we deserved it. No one can take that away.

P.S. Please consider ditching Sky and the like. Sacrifices have to be made if we want our football back.
                Me an' thee alike mate

On a point of pure principal, I stopped going the match when the players started earning more each week, than I could in a year

Well that, and the fact that I was married to my first wife, and we had three children under the age of five

                  Pass me the razor, FFS!

Chelsea have won the league twice, but almost thankfully, Utd have shown that a club with tradition can still challenge. At the end of the day you can only field 11 players and we're in a far stronger position than most. Everyone should be careful what they wish for, there's no chance of playing on an even financial footing when grounds differ in size and merchandise exists.

What should happen then. Take away a clubs ability to draw in revenue and pool all said revenue in to a pot to be distributed equally? Poppycock
