    "I made it (decision to stay) 10 days ago (before the deadline) to let everyone know my mind's focused on playing for Aston Villa and more importantly, obviously, for England.

        I'm gonna move this as not exactly Liverpool related. But surely when he is saying this it is because he is currently on England duty, and he doesn't mean it generally. You can't expect every footballer to feel the same about International footballer. It means more to some than others.
