He certainly was. Walcott wasn't bad either.

    Didn't see that result coming!

He was outstanding but everyone knows he's got that in his locker. He just doesn't show it often enough. I don't see him kicking on and becoming the world class player most people thought he'd turn into ("the new Pele" ).
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He is capable of it from time to time.

Im still of the opinion he's overhyped.

he might reach some of them heights if he leaves the scum which i think ridiculously to some that he will, hated in is own city and performing for a bunch of scouse hating muppets and being played out of position when fergie goes so will rooney.

Not saying he will play well agains us, but could Berbatov offer the same service to Rooney as Heskey did tonight?

                If so, I am worried.

Right now the attack in ManU is set up around Ronaldo. Rooney does a lot of chasing for Ronaldo. I think once Ronaldo leaves the SCUM, Rooney will develop further.

He is playing in the wrong position for the Scum. I didn't watch the match but according to you guys, he was quite good today

I can't believe we didn't have a match thread! One of the best England away performances for ages. We all mocked Wenger and Sven for having Walcott in their arsenal (scuse the pun) and not using him. He looks quite handy now. Dare I say he looks like a young (and fit) Mikey Owen?

I'm glad Rooney & Rio played tonight. It can only be in our favour come Saturday.

I said it at the time Arsenal were after Walcott that we should of done all in our power to get him to sign for us.
He was/is a Liverpool fan ffs and i know alot of players are and it dont mean **** but im sure if we really wanted him and stumped up the money to get him we would have.
As usual though we stand still and off he goes to the Gooners.

Excuse my poor memory Marky but who did we sign instead? I'm assuming at the time we either a) couldn't afford him and/or b) needed 1st team players. Walcott hasn't been a first team player until now, and this England game aside he hasn't exactly set the world alight. Yes he may become world class, we can all see he is talented, but at the time he wasn't the right signing.

                              Everyone played well really.

                              Except Lampard of course
