Right then, that was a waste of time..i must keep up, just deleted my post on Keane and Warners argument over player call up's.

Anyway, Keane must be well confident of his position to say 'back me or i'm off', now that's all i have heard of what he said so can't really comment further.

Except to say Keane is a Bully and a ****....yeah sure he was a good player, but i have no interest in Manc players.

Bad weather today, lots of rain and windy. Some trees have been blown off!

Scariest thing though, is I predicted all of this.

Newsflash Keano, you aint done anything yet
He won the Championship after coming in to manage a team that was second bottom, that's not to be scoffed at.

I think he talks a lot of sense. I think he has done since he called Manc fans the prawn sandwich brigade and labelled his Manc teammates primadonna's.

Seriously though I'm with Matt on this, he talks far more sense than the vast majority of people in the game and the fact that he played for Man U is pretty irrelevant to that point.

I like Roy Keane now. As a footballer he was a gold plated cunt including his stint for Ireland but at least he had the ability to back it up.

I'm sure he will be a good manager.

I think it's good that he has spoken up. Fans should get some perspective.

Something about fans shouldn't abuse him and that he doesn't deserve it. Along those lines.

People say Roy Keane and Sunderland are destined to greatness or success however they have spent more money than us in the past two seasons and are a bottom half team. I wonder how good Keane would be without the money? Thats when you can call someone a good manager. Had you said Steve Bruce despite my hatred towards the bent nosed Manc/Geordie, he has done extremely well with a **** team, **** crowd and shoestring budget.

I'll scoff at it. Big deal, he won the championship, doesn't give him the right to go strutting roud like a big time charlie.
**** him, McLaren's won more than him

I'm not saying Sunderland are destined for greatness. Just that Roy Keane is. He has that air about him.

not sure if he will achieve greatness
I can't stand him for that premeditated tackle

But his comments esp post match are refreshingly honest

I think there are different sorts of good managers - doing well with little money is one thing but as Alladyce showed with his move to Newcastle, a team with greater resources than Bolton, doing well with little money is not the same as dealing with the problems of bigger expectations. Would Fergie do great at the likes of Stoke - who knows?

Bruce has done well but he went through a decade of **** before he got to be the manager he is today and he is a solid but unspectacular manager now.

To my mind Keane did exceptionally well in the Championship but considering his funding poorly in the PL. He is however a developing manager and may well not have yet managed to find the right people around him to truly succeed.

He has the same adversarial style with the media as Fergie although he is less inclined to shield his players. I don't really understand why people get so het up with these sort of heat of the moment press conferences can you imagine if we put the post match ramblings on here through as much scrutiny by outside parties?
