That referee at Old Trafford today!

The referee Styles who awarded the obscene penalty on Ronaldo today is the same one who awarded a penalty for Chelsea at Anfield last year!

I wonder what will the FA tell him: don't be naughty, we know wo is your fav. team but we'll still let you in the premier league!!!

Rob Styles is a scumbag. Regularly the worst ref in the prem and regularly ****s up and gets away with it. Makes me sick

Referees are being spoken about far to often at the moment.

Things need a revamp and soon.

What would happen if Watford were relegated by one point or Reading get promoted by one point.

I feel a bit sorry for the refs at times, having to make such a big call without the luxury of Sky replays.

That was a shocker today, it's the worst penalty decision i can remember. It was marginally worse than the one he gave to Chelsea at Anfield last season. Absolutely embarrassing. For the same ref to have made both of those decisions in such a relatively short space of time, is a disgrace.

Ferguson had the audacity to claim that Styles hadnt given them '4 or 5' penalties last season, and then joked that he 'owes us 4 more'. I wonder what his sense of humour would've been like if Bolton had been given a penalty for that kind of challenge.

He is a piss poor ref at the end of the day. The FA should look at Europe for Refs and get the best refs in world football to ref the prem.

Our refs are shockingly bad, it is a disgrace that every week there are so many appalling decisions being made in what is the worlds premire football league.

70,000 people thought it was a clean tackle, why is he so different?

So do i but theres really no excuse for a ref standing 5 yards away with a totally unobstructed view of an incident and getting it totally and utterly wrong the way he did.

At best it shows a complete lack of knowledge of the game and as someone else has said, its not the first time he's made an absolute ****ing howler like this.

Officials should be enhancing the game not dominating it and while i have sympathy for them on occasions and its not a job i would fancy, theres no escaping the fact that decisions like this dont do their reputation any good at all.

He should be dropped for a couple of years to the lower Lgs .. he is by far the worse ref in the lg he makes Rene look good

According to Kevin Nolan, even a couple of the Manc players (Fletcher and Tevez I think) we're telling the ref it wasn't a penalty. Fair play if that's true.
I finally saw the incident last night and all I can say is

It was a terrible decision really, as someone's already said Styles should be reffing nothing games in the lower leagues for a while.

Since referees were made 'professional' they seem to have got worse as a whole. Rarely a week goes by without a wrongly made, match-turning decision. I'd love to know what they do for the other 6 days a week to earn their money.
