Surely thats not from the value of his own personal shares? Personal holding value or the companies entire holdings value?

Amazed me this story, i just expected that people like him were immune to this financial decline, thought most of his businesses were solid, like oil, steel, etc, expect his personal wealth will be ok, but this is a big hit to take for ANYONE, would even have an effect on my spending.....maybe.

Hopefully our pair of plonkers are suffering, really really suffering.

Surely that's not right, I read a while back he was estimated to be worth about £8-12billion depending on sources, which would mean he was now bankrupt.

Although that article mentions that Chelsea may sale players to get through the financial crisis, if that's the case I dread to think what could happen to us with dumb and dumber
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

With manure they'd have to do the same as Chelsea, i.e. sell players. With us it would have a positive effect, i.e. our idiots finally being forced to sell at the buyer's price not theirs.
                One tit for another.

I think the safest people financially at the moment are those with a steady income, no debt, and no savings.
                  Oh I don't know.

                          It's his mate:

"The metals and mining mogul and Abramovich are part of a list of 25 Russian oligarch's who have lost £140 billion ($238 billion) on the Micex index. "

... and then turned Chelsea into a money-laundering operation with its players and fans essentially as pig-thick co-conspirators.
