    Cynical marketing ploy.

Very harsh. Anyone that says he isn't a good footballer is just plain wrong.

He's a good player but he's 33, past his prime, been playing in an uncompetitve league and is arguably no better than what they already have in midfield.

Just because he's a good player doesn't make it any less of a marketing ploy.

I can't see him starting many games for Milan.

That was the first time I ever felt sympathy for the guy.

Shearer gets us a goal dissallowed by being a dirty cunt in the box as per, and Beckham gets the blame for us losing cos he got sent off.

It was stupid, but it wasn't his fault we lost. We'd have still won if Shearer wasn't a dirty *******.

But yeah, back on topic, gotta have some level of respect for the guy.

He's a marketting icon, he could do anything he wanted with his time and still make a fortune from his name, but he's determined to go back to playing football at the top level so he can be ready and available for his country on the occasions where he's not snubbed.

Considerring he's an ex scum he's a good bloke and as an Englishman can't help but feeling some level of pride at his dedication to the cause.
