Couldn't be bothered to start a new thread as there have been enough mancscum threads in here methinks, anyway, found this article about Hargreaves, seems like a nice piece of business by Bayern this

    Crocked Owen sent to Steadman

Owen Hargreaves has gone to see surgeon Dr Richard Steadman in a bid to cure the tendinitis problem that is threatening to wreck his career.

The manu midfielder has not been fully fit since he joined the Old Toilet outfit from Bayern Munich last summer.

Although the 27-year-old was able to play in last season's Champions League final triumph over Chelsea, the pain he experienced when he returned to training this summer was as bad as ever.

Manu have tried to be patient, giving Hargreaves a course of injections they felt would allow him to play pain-free for the remainder of the season.

But it is now clear the move has not worked, leaving them little alternative than to send the 27-year-old to Colorado for a meeting with Steadman - who names Ruud van Nistelrooy and Michael Owen among his high-profile clients - after consultations in Sweden and London appear to have drawn a blank.

"We have been trying to manage the situation but that has not given us an answer," United boss Drunken Ferguson said.

"In the past 10 days we have sent him to a specialist in Sweden and one in London. There has been no real answer there so now he is in Colorado to see Dr Steadman.

"We are trying to get to the root of it. We have been frustrated and patient but we really need to speed that up now.

"That is why we have sent him to the best available people to try and get a general opinion about where we go from here."

United will wait for Dr Steadman to deliver his verdict before deciding the next course of action for Hargreaves.

No-one is mentioning retirement but there must be a nagging fear that the Calgary-born star will never be rid of a problem he first became aware of prior to his £18million move to manu.

"Of course it is difficult when you are out for such a long time through injury," said Ferguson. "It is frustrating for the lad and we want to try and help him.

"With tendinitis at the front of the knee, when he gets involved in football-related training, the pain really surfaces."

It is no surprise manu and Hargreaves are placing their faith in Steadman, even though most of his football-related work has centred on cruciate ligament injuries.

"He started his career working with skiers," said Ferguson. "Because he has dealt with so many knee injuries, he has obviously acquired a great knowledge.

"He is not associated with this type of injury but the boy has gone on for too long just hoping injections will do the trick."

What does he do? What’s the point of him? He doesn’t break from midfield, he doesn’t seem to drive forward, he doesn’t tackle, he doesn’t score ANY goals, and nor do I recall him creating any. He is the king of the five yard sideways pass.

Nani obviously has talent but he’s been poor thus far for them and he could go one of two ways.

LFC forums would definitely be in meltdown if we’d spunked £35m or so on these two jokers.
I think this is a bit unfair.

Nani is their Babel for me. Got the talent no go t the head for it (& possibly might improve).

I like Anderson as a player but he needs to grow up. In his good games he was excellent last year and they missed him when he faded and then got left out last season. He is quite similar to Carrick but slightly more progressive. He needs to mature but I think he is already a very, very good player when he is up for it (prime example would be the game he dominated Gerrard in last year).

I think that is a huge exaggeration - they have done well in a lot of games when he hasn't played. He is however a much better player than most on here give him credit for. He is probably the only out and out holding player comparable with Mascher in the league and is also more adept in forward positions and at right back.

Ah and Carrick is also a top class player. Can't understand he can't get a game for England.

Well he was poor today and he's not as good as Barry these days.
              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

From the snippet I've heard Nani will probably be on his way out at the end of this season.
I make no apologies, this is me
