    Gavin Strachan's blog

Anyone been reading it on the BBC website?

It's not bad...fairly interesting insight into the life of a journeyman footballer.

However, you're led to believe that this is all his own work. He's talked of his aspirations of becoming a journalist in the written press and that these are his first steps into it. You're thinking what a pleasant surprise it is that this footballer can construct sentences, punctuate properly and write with a modicum of articulacy.

If you read the comments at the bottom of the blog, Strachan responds to many of them and it is sadly revealing. Here's an example...

                  Gavin Strachens BBC blog

Just read this for the first time.

He seems really down to earth. Describing himself as a journeyman Footballer. Also mentions that when he started playing he believed he would play at Anfield etc every season but he was inevitable proved wrong.

                  He seems a humble lad.

I posted a thread about this a while ago and it bombed spectacularly.

I made the point that, while he seems nice and down-to-earth, his dream of becoming a journalist seems far-fetched in the extreme. He responds to comments at the bottom of his blog and his posts are always abysmally written…making it pretty obvious he doesn’t actually write the blog himself.
